We just talked to our lawyer. There is a possibility we would have to be obliged to sell the land to the neighbour. I am pissed. Please people, pray this don't happen.
Oh hell no (pardon my French). I would be on that lawyer like white on rice (that's a southern phrase, ha). I just can't imagine they would allow that??
There is a law called "la prescription du trentenaire" that says that if a person takes care of a propriety for more than 10 years, he can obliged the owner to sell it to him to the market place. Though, I don't know if that would apply 'cause 10 years ago I was like very busy planning my wedding and graduating from university not knowing at all that I would end scrapping chicken poo and loving it ... but still ... Moreover that place has been bought over a legal contract through a notary, I haven't talked to her ... but if all goes bad, she will hear from me ... believe me!
